Lost iPhone Can Be Found Without Locator: New Tool Developed
A new tool called findphone has been developed for Mac, allowing users to locate lost iPhones nearby without using the Find My service.
The program utilizes the strength of the Bluetooth signal; the closer the phone is, the faster the sound notifications become. If the device is on the other side of the room, the sounds are infrequent, whereas approaching the iPhone transforms them into a nearly continuous alert.
However, the tool has limitations: the phone must be powered on and within Bluetooth range. It does not display the location on a map but can assist in quickly finding, for example, a smartphone lost between cushions.
