Vahagn Aleksanyan Elected Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly
Vahagn Aleksanyan has been elected as the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly. The results of the voting were presented by the chairperson of the counting commission, Lilit Minasyan. According to the voting results, 62 lawmakers voted in favor of Aleksanyan, while 27 voted against.
The leader of the ‘Armenia’ faction, Anna Grigoryan, announced that the faction would not participate in the voting.
It is worth recalling that yesterday, Haik Konjoryan was elected as Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly. On August 3, Ruben Rubinyan was elected as the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia for the 9th convocation.
