'Hraparak' newspaper reports: 'On November 25, the premiere of the film 'Monte' will take place. The film tells the story of Armenia's national hero, Artsakh hero, and commander of the first Artsakh war, Monte Melkonyan (Avo). The creator and main producer of the project, Nono Sargsyan, the daughter of Armen Sargsyan, brother of Vazgen Sargsyan, emphasized that the most important thing was obtaining the consent of the hero's wife, Seda, and his brother, Margar, after which the filming began. Her previous film was dedicated to Vazgen Sargsyan.

We learned that just days before the filming was set to begin, the Ministry of Defense unexpectedly refused to support the filming of the movie, citing that war scenes should not be filmed, leaving the filming crew in a difficult situation. One crew member told us that the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport, as well as the Yerevan City Hall, supported the film's production, but the Ministry of Defense, which was supposed to assist with the filming of military operations, stated that it could not provide support. This means they cannot allocate space in military units or provide equipment, etc. Despite initial agreements to support, no film producer can shoot war operations without the Ministry of Defense and army support.'
