One of the Most Unpleasant Countries in the World: Trump Issues Statement
The United States will raise tariffs on Canadian automobiles, auto parts, and steel to up to 50% effective January 1, 2027, announced U.S. President Donald Trump.
“Build in the USA, and tariffs will be zero. We no longer treat Canada as a country. In terms of trade and many other aspects, Canada is one of the most unpleasant countries in the world,” Trump wrote on the TruthSocial social network. He also noted that there are no tariffs for manufacturers in the U.S.
