HETC Cannot Remain Under State Management for Long, Says Pashinyan

The processes related to HETC are proceeding normally, there are no issues, and we are progressing according to our plan, especially since we have had significant success in international arbitration. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in response to a question from Natalia Sinyoryan, a member of the National Assembly from the 'Civil Contract' faction, regarding the status of the HETC nationalization process.

“Our plan A is that HETC should become state property, and we should involve one of the top managers or a consortium from the sector in the management of HETC through a transparent, competitive international tender. I am firmly convinced that HETC being state property is the right thing, but on the other hand, I am also convinced that HETC should not remain under state management for a long time, because now, when attention is high and political management is being carried out, I see no major risks,” he said.
