Papikyan Presents Statistics on Non-Combat Deaths in the Army from 2015 to 2026
The Minister of Defense of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, addressed the cases of killings, suicides, and suicide attempts in the army, stating that such incidents have always been recorded throughout Armenia's history.
The minister presented statistics from recent years. In 2015, 7 cases were recorded; in 2016, 19; in 2017, 13; in 2018, 12; in 2019, 11; in 2020, 10; in 2021, 10; in 2022, 8; in 2023, 9; in 2024, 11; in 2025, 2; and in 2026, 8 cases.
