The Food Safety Inspectorate of Armenia continues negotiations with the Russian side regarding the export restrictions on agricultural products from Armenia to Russia. Earlier, Rosselkhoznadzor announced that it expects the results of the investigation into violations recorded in agricultural supply chains from Armenia and a clear plan of action aimed at complying with the veterinary and phytosanitary requirements of the EAEU.

The Food Safety Inspectorate has reported that "constructive dialogue" is ongoing with the Russian side; joint steps are being clarified and the timeline for necessary measures is being coordinated. At the same time, details of the negotiations have not been made public yet, as the process is still ongoing. Currently, there is no deadline for the conclusion of the negotiations.

The Food Safety Inspectorate has not indicated that any of the restricted products has received permission for export to Russia. It is noted that all issues related to the products are being discussed as part of a comprehensive package.

It should be recalled that since May, Russia has gradually implemented restrictions on several products from Armenia, including fish, flowers, fruits, and vegetables, and since June has also restricted the imports of cherries, apricots, plums, peaches, nectarines, and grapes.
