Another 5000 Electric Vehicles Can Be Imported to Armenia Duty-Free
The Armenian government has decided that by 2026, an additional 5000 electric vehicles can be imported into Armenia with a 0% customs duty. Of this quota, a maximum of 4500 electric vehicles can be imported by individuals, as well as by individual entrepreneurs and legal entities that do not have a direct dealership or distribution agreement with the auto manufacturer.
The remaining maximum of 500 electric vehicles can be imported duty-free specifically for economic operators that hold direct dealership-distribution agreements with auto manufacturers. These operators must also possess documents confirming the obligation to provide factory warranty and after-sales service, as well as evidence of closed technical service stations.
