Assessment Process Fails, We Must Say Enough, No Longer Work in Schools: Prime Minister

Approximately 3,200 applicants received a failing grade in this year’s admission exams. According to the Assessment and Testing Center, the number of those receiving failing grades last year was around 2,500.

During a government meeting, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred to these statistics as a warning. “We are slowing down on the path of our reforms because we are constantly making compromises, and as a result, the children suffer. We must confront this. It is an assessment process; how long can we go on? If a person is failing, we must say enough, they should no longer work in schools because it is their students who are affected—they cannot even get a passing grade on the admission exam; we are not saying excellent, at least satisfactory,” said the Prime Minister.

“Decisions have been made, and we need to implement them very clearly and decisively. There is no doubt that we are doing this in the interest of the children,” he added.
