The Research Center for Cultural Heritage's expedition team (led by Hakob Simonyan) has uncovered an architectural complex consisting of approximately 34 stone rooms during excavations in the Silikian district of Yerevan, particularly in the area of the Academic City, along with tools characteristic of an advanced stone industry.

According to Simonyan, this may be the oldest settlement known in the area to date. Representatives of the Academic City Foundation visited the excavation site and met with the archaeologists conducting the work. During the visit, excavation leader Hakob Simonyan noted that collaborating with international archaeological laboratories would greatly assist in providing a more precise dating of the complex, allowing for a clearer understanding of the chronology of the finds.

The Academic City Foundation announces that the discovered archaeological heritage will be fully integrated into the preservation and management plans of the project, ensuring its study and conservation. Excavations and research continue.
