My Wife Most Likely Will Not Return to the National Assembly Anymore - Ruben Rubinyan

There is no turning back. What I have said is happening; the sessions are proceeding in a very civilized, polite, measured manner, and therefore the main goal I set before myself has been achieved at least at this moment.

This was stated by the newly elected National Assembly President Ruben Rubinyan during a briefing with journalists, referring to his earlier promise to conduct educational work with the leader of the 'Strong Armenia' faction, Narek Karapetyan.

“I have said that when I come, will I be rude to them? There are various ways to bring people into the realm of politeness, and these methods are by no means limited to hard and rude methods. My goal has been and remains the same, that at least a sharp yet polite atmosphere prevails in the National Assembly Hall during the sessions. I believe that touch-wood, these last two days have not been bad. I express my satisfaction in this regard,” he noted.

When asked if his wife would continue to work in the National Assembly after he became President, Rubinyan replied, “My wife worked in the National Assembly before me, which means that she was working here when I was not here. Now my wife is on maternity leave, and most likely she will not return to the National Assembly after her leave.”
