Emergency Situation: Airplane Forced to Return to Moscow
An airplane traveling from Moscow's Zhukovsky Airport to Georgia was forced to return to its departure point. The incident occurred during the flight when water began to flood the aircraft's tail service compartments. It was discovered that one of the passengers had broken a water supply tap.
Upon detecting the leak, the flight crew immediately stopped the water supply and reported the situation to the aircraft commander. For safety reasons, a decision was made to abort the flight and return to the airport. Approximately two hours after taking off, the airline successfully landed at Zhukovsky.
Following a technical inspection, experts confirmed the malfunction, replaced the damaged part, and prepared a relevant report. The airline organized a backup flight for the passengers heading to Batumi. As a result, travelers reached Georgia approximately four hours later than scheduled.
