“Have you seen such ‘peace’ anywhere else?” wrote Kristine Vardanyan, a member of the National Assembly from the ‘Armenia’ faction, alongside a video posted on her Facebook page.

She reacted to the statement made by Alen Simonyan, claiming that “Azerbaijanis have advanced in several locations within Armenia. I insist that in some areas along the non-demarcated and non-delimited border, we too have advanced, dating back to the 90s.”

“So what is the ruling power saying? They are saying, ‘Didn’t you know? We have territories that are Azerbaijani too.’ This implies justifying the Azerbaijani occupation, stating that we also have territories, which means Azerbaijan occupied those territories. Thus, they are announcing new concessions. There is no discussion about when Azerbaijan will withdraw from these territories, yet they say we also have territories... Where else in the world is there such peace? Where has there been such peace in history?” said Vardanyan.
