Ursula von der Leyen on Sanctions Against Iran
The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, has stated that it is still too early to lift sanctions imposed on Iran. During a meeting between the conservative CDU party and its Bavarian partner party, the CSU, held in Berlin, the head of the European Commission expressed that canceling the sanctions would be premature.
She emphasized that these measures were implemented due to Iran's actions against its own people.
“First, we need to see changes, fundamental changes in Iran, before the sanctions can be lifted,” von der Leyen noted.
