US Creates List of Countries Identified in 'Black List'
The US administration has prepared a special document categorizing NATO member states based on their loyalty and level of support. According to sources from Politico, this report has been compiled ahead of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte's visit to Washington.
The list highlights countries that have not supported the United States in its conflict with Iran. Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth had hinted at the possibility of such an approach late last year. According to him, 'exemplary' allies who fully fulfill their obligations and support US initiatives will receive privileges. Meanwhile, countries that refrain from participating in collective defense will face certain consequences.
Although the White House is still keeping a specific list of possible sanctions confidential, experts anticipate several likely scenarios. These include reductions in NATO funding, a decrease in the number of American troops in Europe, or changes in their deployment locations. Additionally, 'unreliable' partners may face limitations on the volume of arms sales and cancellation of joint military exercises.
