VIDEO: The Inclusion of AI in the Economy Poses Risks, Says Nikol Pashinyan
“Generally, the processes happening and anticipated in the labor market should be under special attention, because the increasing inclusion of artificial intelligence in the economy poses risks, including regarding job positions,” Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during a meeting with major business figures in Armenia.
“Of course, I am convinced that some companies are already employing this tool, while others will inevitably adopt it, and this brings certain risks regarding the transformation and distribution of jobs. There is a forecast that certain professions will gradually disappear or have less relevance, starting from industry, extending to healthcare, and even education.
And here, a significant analytical and practical effort is needed to ensure we do not face issues in the long run. It should be noted that artificial intelligence is not a familiar phenomenon yet, and despite continuous analyses, there are no highly precise algorithms that can predict what will happen as a result,” the Prime Minister emphasized, noting the need to understand in which directions cooperation should occur to ensure a proper transformation in the labor market.
