The Issue of the ‘Proshyan Brandy Factory’ Has Reached the Court
The Federal Service for Alcohol and Tobacco Market Regulation of the Russian Federation has conducted an unscheduled inspection of the ‘Proshyan Brandy Factory’ LLC, which imports brandy products. During the inspection, samples of brandy imported into the Russian Federation were collected and subjected to laboratory testing.
According to the results from the accredited laboratory, it was found that the product does not meet the service's requirements: “non-grape origin spirits were identified, as well as discrepancies between the composition of the product and the declared name (the product does not comply with the term ‘brandy’).” Based on the recorded violations, the service has decided to apply to the court for the revocation and suspension of the license. This issue is currently being discussed in the Arbitration Court.
