US Military Calls on Iran to Abandon Positions
The head of the US Central Command, Admiral Brad Cooper, has called on the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps' naval forces to abandon their positions. His statement was published on the social media platform X.
According to Cooper, the death of the long-serving commander of the IRGC's naval forces, Alireza Tangsiri, has plunged the division into what he described as "irreversible decline." He also claimed that during the military operations that began in February, US armed forces have destroyed 92 percent of Iran's naval forces' major ships.
The statement noted that US strikes will continue in the coming period. In this context, the CENTCOM chief urged the Iranian personnel serving in the IRGC's naval forces to leave their service immediately and return home.
It is worth mentioning that US President Donald Trump had stated that he was postponing attacks on Iran's energy infrastructure for 10 days.
