Pentagon's Response to Strikes on Iranian School
U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has commented on the reports regarding the strikes on a school in Iran, indicating that an investigation into the incident is still ongoing. He stated that he cannot provide additional details at this time.
The Pentagon chief emphasized that the U.S. military, unlike Iranian forces, does not target civilian infrastructure. He noted that Washington's actions are directed against military sites.
Hegseth made this statement in response to a question about whether the U.S. could have been involved in the incident that occurred in Iran. In this regard, he mentioned that data verification is still in progress.
The Secretary added that currently, he can only affirm that the relevant authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the event.
