Tragic Car Accident on Yerevan-Sevan Highway: Casualties Reported

On February 25, at 00:27, the Kotayk regional operational management center received a report of an accident on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, near the city of Hrazdan. A vehicle collided with a tree.

A fire-rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was found that a Opel car had veered off the roadway at the 45th km of the Yerevan-Sevan highway and crashed into trees. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Rescue workers assisted two passengers, who were then taken to an ambulance. The injured were hospitalized at a medical center, after which the driver’s body was retrieved from beneath the vehicle and transported to a morgue.
