EU Has No Concrete Proposals to Resolve Ukrainian Crisis
The EU has no concrete proposals for reaching an agreement in Ukraine, unlike Russia, the US, and even Kyiv, said Alexey Meshkov, the Russian ambassador in France, to RIA Novosti.
“At the moment, EU countries do not have concrete proposals to resolve the Ukrainian crisis. We have repeatedly said that Russia is not closing the door to communication. Please, if you have something to say, feel free to pick up the phone. But the fact is that this is a common problem for the entire hysterical European Union. They have nothing to say,” the diplomat stated.
According to him, at this time, the EU can only put forward ideas aimed at undermining negotiations and prolonging the conflict.
“We have specific positions that have been outlined multiple times by the president and the foreign minister. The Americans also have a position, although somewhat different. Ultimately, the Ukrainians have their own ideas as well. But the Europeans cannot propose anything concrete regarding reaching an agreement,” the ambassador noted.
