US Agrees to Limit Negotiations with Iran to Nuclear Issues
The United States has agreed that negotiations with Iran will focus exclusively on nuclear issues. This was reported to RIA Novosti by an Iranian source familiar with the matter.
Previously, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that a new round of indirect negotiations between Iran and the US regarding the Iranian nuclear issue will take place on February 17 in Geneva, with mediation from Oman.
“The Americans’ participation in the Muscat talks means that they have accepted the framework outlined by Iran. Through acceptable mediators, the Americans have conveyed a message to the Iranian side that the negotiations will center solely on nuclear issues,” the source stated ahead of the new round of Iran-US talks in Geneva.
