Starlink to Donate 100 Terminals to the Armenian Government, Says Minister of High-Tech Industry
During the visit of U.S. Vice President Jay D. Vence to Armenia, Starlink announced that it will donate more than 100 terminals to the Armenian government. This was stated by the Minister of High-Tech Industry, Mikayel Hayrapetyan, at a concluding press conference.
"It is no secret that services from the Starlink company for satellite internet connectivity have been available in Armenia since 2025. We started work here back in 2024 by liberalizing certain radio frequency domains, after which Starlink was able to expand its operations," the minister stated.
According to him, the donation of Starlink terminals is aimed at solving internet connectivity issues in several educational institutions across Armenia, especially in high mountain areas. The company has also agreed to cover all service fees for the next year.
In addition to the donation, Hayrapetyan informed that 340 Starlink terminals were imported into Armenia in the second half of 2025.
