Moscow Proposes Returning to Dollar Transactions: Bloomberg
According to Bloomberg, the Kremlin has prepared a memorandum proposing to restore dollar transactions to expand economic cooperation with the United States. The document, according to sources, is intended for the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump and has circulated among high-ranking Russian officials.
The publication states that one of the seven points outlines the use of the dollar system in trading Russian energy resources. The agency notes that such a move could signify a significant shift in foreign economic policy.
The document also mentions joint projects in oil and liquefied natural gas, collaboration in raw materials, nuclear energy, and artificial intelligence, as well as conditions for the return of American companies.
Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov has not commented on the publication.
