YouTube Monetization Finally Set to Begin in Armenia, Minister Announces
In a long-awaited announcement, YouTube monetization is set to commence in Armenia. Minister of High-Tech Industry Mikayel Hayrapetyan shared this news via his social media page.
“We welcome YouTube's announcement regarding the expansion of its involvement in the Armenian market. This is an important step towards strengthening Armenia’s digital economy, empowering our rapidly growing community of content creators, and promoting the global visibility of Armenian content, culture, and innovation.”
According to Hayrapetyan, platforms like YouTube are not just about content; they represent economic opportunities, the strengthening of digital entrepreneurship, and societal resilience against misinformation through diverse and reliable voices.
The Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia will continue to collaborate with major global partners to ensure that Armenian creators and tech companies are fully integrated into the global digital ecosystem. “We expect the continuous development of these positive changes in collaboration with our American partners and are ready to deepen cooperation with YouTube and a broader spectrum of the tech community,” the statement concluded.
