representatives of the 'I Have Honor' bloc caught in electoral bribery: Konyjoryan
During the discussion of the draft law on amendments and supplements to the Constitutional Law 'Electoral Code of the Republic of Armenia,' the head of the faction, Hayk Konyjoryan, referred to the boycott of the extraordinary session of the National Assembly by the 'Armenia' faction.
“Artsvik Minasyan was saying that you talk about a significant force. Well, this is your gravity. Now your weight on these chairs differs significantly from a few seconds ago. You can't even maintain your weight on your seats; how will you keep your weight in the political arena?” Konyjoryan stated, addressing the opposition colleagues who left the hall.
“What does this speak of? A few days ago, they were talking about the Investigative Committee. It's the same thing. They did not participate in the work of the Investigative Committee, and then they came and asked where the report of the Investigative Committee is. Now they come here or to the council meeting, making substantive arguments about the discussion of the issue, but they do not participate in the substantive discussion of the issue. The 'I Have Honor' is, by the way, here; the people have bravely stayed. Of course, they will leave; they will not come here to answer questions. If I remember correctly, representatives of the 'I Have Honor' bloc were caught in electoral bribery, and there is also a court decision that has entered into legal force. For me, 'I Have Honor' and 'Armenia' blocs are the same, meaning we are talking about the opposition, who come and speak of a monitoring mission, but they themselves, being the opposition, have been caught in electoral bribery. That is why they do not participate in the substantive discussion, because if they did, they would have to listen to these arguments. That is also why they left,” announced the head of the Civil Contract faction.
