Panel Roof of an Unused School Entrance Collapses, Ministry of Emergency Situations Reports
The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has reported that on January 21, at 16:52, the Crisis Management National Center received a call regarding the collapse of a panel roof of an unused entrance at a school located on Taroncu Street in Yerevan. Fortunately, there were no injuries, but assistance from rescuers was deemed necessary.
A firefighting unit from the MES's Yerevan Rescue Department was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that the roof (approximately 10 square meters) and a concrete support column (about 3 meters) had collapsed, posing a risk of further falling debris. Rescuers have cordoned off the area.
