Lars is Closed for All Types of Transport
The Emergency Service reports that there are closed roads within the territory of Armenia. The roads leading from the 'Amberd' high mountainous meteorological station in the Aragatsotn region to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake are closed.
The Gndevaz-Jermuk road (blizzard) is closed for all types of vehicles. The Vardenyats Pass (blizzard), the Vanadzor-Dilijan and Vanadzor-Alaverdi roads, the Spitak and Dilijan serpentine roads, and the roads from the Jermuk intersection to the towns of Jermuk and Sisian are closed for vehicles with trailers and are difficult to pass for other types of vehicles.
Routes such as Yeraskh-Zangakatun, Tatev-Ltzen, Tatev-Kapan stretch, and the Step'anavan serpentine roads, as well as the Berd-Chambarak road and sections from the M-4 highway to Haghartsin and Parnapol Lake, are difficult to navigate for all types of vehicles.
In the Kotayk region, the roads in Aparan, Aragats, Dilijan, Sevan, Chambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Sisian, Goris, Ashotsk, and Amasia areas have patches of black ice. According to the information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the North Ossetia Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed for all types of vehicles.
