39 People Killed in Train Accident in Spain
At least 39 people have been killed and dozens injured due to a collision between two high-speed trains in southern Spain, authorities report. This is the country’s largest railway disaster in the past decade.
The trains derailed on a recently renovated section of track. According to railway companies, there were around 400 passengers and crew members on both trains.
Initial reports indicate that at least 73 people were taken to the hospital, with 24 of them in serious condition, including four children.
