Larsi Road Closed for Trucks: Current Situation on Highways
The Rescue Service reports that there are closed roads in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
The roads from the high-altitude meteorological station "Amberd" in Aragatsotn province to Amberd Fortress and K’ari Lake are closed. The Dilijan bends (snow), the section from the Jermuk junction to the cities of Jermuk and Sisian, as well as the Noyemberyan-Jujivan and Noravan-Kapan roads are closed for vehicles with trailers.
The Vardenyats pass (fog, snow) is closed for trucks with trailers, while it is passable with difficulty for other vehicles. The Berd-Jambarak road and sections of the M-4 highway to Haghartsin and Parz Lake are difficult to navigate for all types of vehicles.
In the regions of Aparan, Aragats (blizzard), Dilijan, Sevan, Jambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Nairi, Sisian, Goris, Ashotzk, and Amasia, there are patches of black ice on the roads. Snowfall is reported in the Aragatsotn and Lori provinces, in the Tigranashen bends, and in the regions of Baghramyan, Berd, Noyemberyan, Ijevan, Kapan, Sisian, and Goris.
In the Saravan-Zanger section and the city of Jermuk, there is a blizzard.
Regarding Lars: According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Situations Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is closed for trucks.
