There is no substance if it is not public. You must come and work: Konyjoryan
Ardzvik Minasyan, a member of the "Armenia" faction, stated that the opposition is not taking advantage of the minimal opportunities and rights available to them, and that the ruling faction is rejecting the opposition's proposals to discuss questions during the parliamentary sessions.
In response to the criticisms from the opposition, the leader of the "Civil Contract" faction, Hayk Konyjoryan, said: "I get the impression that the opposition is divided into two: an opposition in the public sphere and an opposition in the non-public sphere. The meetings of the National Assembly Council are not public, which is why you do not attend those meetings. When one day these meetings are broadcast live, you will come to the sessions, give speeches, and ask questions. There is no substance if it is not public. You must come and work; there is no alternative. You need to come, say a couple of routine things, then go home and justify your work as an opposition. However, in the important, non-public sphere, you need to come and work without cameras, but you are not doing it," Konyjoryan said.
