Defense Spending for 2025 Reaches 664 Billion AMD, Says Suren Papikyan
Defense spending for 2025 has reached 664 billion AMD, equivalent to 1 billion 741 million 604 thousand dollars, reported the Minister of Defense of Armenia Suren Papikyan at a press conference.
“Compared to the pre-revolutionary year of 2018, defense sector expenditures have increased by 1.1 billion dollars,” the minister stated.
He acknowledged the criticisms regarding insufficient funding for the defense sector, saying, “I want to consider 2025 a highly efficient year for the defense sector.”
