H3N2 Subtype of Influenza A Virus Continues to Circulate in Armenia
During the second week of 2026, Armenia has recorded low activity of illness related to acute respiratory infections. This information comes from the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
“Nearly 68% of the total cases involve individuals aged 0-18, with the highest rate continuing to be registered among those aged 0-4. During the same period, hospitalizations due to ARIs in medical organizations have decreased by 1.3 times compared to the previous week. Hospitalized cases consist of 92.8% of patients aged 0-18. The H3N2 subtype of the Influenza A virus continues to circulate in the Republic of Armenia,” the report states.
