Israel Developing New Defense Technologies for Possible War with Iran
Israel is developing new military technologies in preparation for a possible future conflict with Iran. This was announced by Amir Baram, the Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Defense.
According to Baram, the rapid development of Iran's air defense and ballistic missile capabilities, intertwined with the country's extremist ideology, implies that all security fronts in the region continue to remain open and tense. "The Israeli Defense Forces must be ready for new phases of combat operations," he stated.
The head of the Ministry of Defense emphasized that for many years Israel was regarded as a 'cyber nation,' but is now transforming into a 'defense technology nation.' He noted that the innovative defense portfolio includes a wide range of advanced solutions such as air defense systems, drones, electronic warfare tools, quantum-resistant communication, intelligence and surveillance systems, cybersecurity, and space technologies.
The article recalls that on June 13, Israel launched a military operation against Iran, stating the aim was to destroy Tehran's nuclear program. In response, Iran carried out retaliatory strikes against Israel. On June 22, the United States struck three Iranian nuclear facilities—Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz—after which President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire, agreed upon by both Iran and Israel.
