The Russian military launched strikes on several regions of Ukraine overnight on August 27, including Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih, Kharkiv, as well as Sumy and Poltava oblasts. According to local authorities, one person has been reported dead and there are injuries.

In the Romny community of the Sumy region, a strike targeted a residential building, resulting in the death of a 66-year-old woman. Oleg Grigorov, head of the regional military administration, stated that preliminary information indicates that seven drones were unleashed in the region. Some of them were destroyed, but strikes on civilian infrastructure were recorded. Four individuals sought medical assistance.

In Zaporizhzhia, a strike resulted in three injuries, including two men and one woman. Damage was reported to a vehicle and several buildings, and a fire broke out.

Kryvyi Rih was targeted by a missile strike on an industrial facility. According to city officials, two individuals were injured, though their conditions are not serious.

In Kyiv, debris from missiles or drones fell in two locations: in the yard of a residential building in the Podilskyi district and in the territory of an educational institution in the Shevchenkivskyi district. Prior to this, an air alert was declared in the city due to threats from ballistic missiles and drones.

In Kharkiv, a drone struck the balcony of a residential building on the fourth floor. Local authorities reported that a 30-year-old man experienced an acute stress reaction.
