Pashinyan on the Exclusion of Prisoners Held in Azerbaijan from the Peace Agreement
The Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, addressed the issue of excluding the question of prisoners held in Azerbaijan from the peace agreement in his message today.
"We have made serious efforts to include this issue in the agreement, but as those efforts have dragged on, we have understood that including the question of our compatriots held in captivity in Azerbaijan in the text of the agreement could be interpreted as their return being a matter of signing and ratifying the agreement. And we have not guided ourselves by that presumption, nor do we intend to," he stated.
