Putin Rejects Zelensky's Proposal
Russian President Vladimir Putin will not travel to Istanbul today, May 15, for peaceful negotiations regarding Ukraine. The Kremlin has released a list of the members of the Russian delegation, which was personally approved by Putin, reports TASS.
U.S. President Donald Trump will also not be traveling to Turkey for the negotiations.
Thus, the Kremlin is essentially rejecting the proposal of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, who insisted on a personal meeting with Putin in Istanbul. Earlier, Zelensky had stated that he intended to meet only with Putin in Istanbul.
It should be noted that the Russian delegation to the negotiations with Ukraine will be led by Russian Presidential Assistant Vladimir Medinsky.
