Officials from the Supervisory Body Arrested

Officials from the territorial divisions of the State Supervisory Body for Urban Development, Technical and Fire Safety have been arrested. The Anti-Corruption Committee confirmed this information, stating the following: “We confirm in response that within the framework of a criminal investigation being conducted by the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Republic of Armenia, 6 individuals have been arrested, including those who held senior positions in the territorial divisions of the State Supervisory Body for Urban Development, Technical and Fire Safety. They are accused of accepting bribes in exchange for facilitating the process of issuing positive conclusions for buildings constructed in violation of urban development standards.”
