Large Sum of Money, Illegal Real Estate: What Will Be Seized from Kocharian?
The Chief Prosecutor Anna Vardanyan has outlined what the prosecution demands to recover from the second president Robert Kocharian and his associates through a claim for the confiscation of illegally acquired assets. She made this statement during a session of the National Assembly.
"From the respondents Robert and Bella Kocharian, Sedrak Kocharian, and Zaruhin Badalyan, Levon and Siranush Kocharian, Gayane Kocharian, and Vigen Chatinyan, the prosecution demands the confiscation of 22 real estate properties, the right to purchase 2 properties, over 3 million dollars, bonds worth 985 million drams, a deposit of more than 1.4 million dollars, participation in 15 legal entities (among these entities are 'Nairi Insurance', 'Toyota Yerevan', 'Target Group', and several other companies), the right to claim for more than 4 million dollars, 8.3 billion drams, 260 million rubles, and approximately 590 thousand euros in loans, 2 vehicles, and property acquisition values equivalent to over 3.8 billion drams, and more than 20 billion drams," Vardanyan stated. This claim is currently in court regarding Robert Kocharian and his associates.
