Pushkin School Parents Demand to See Certification Results and Will Appeal
Parents of students at Yerevan's Pushkin School are demanding to see the certification results. In an interview with Auroranews, one of the parents involved in the protest indicated that they do not agree with the results presented.
“Parents met in a group of six with the Deputy Minister, Araksia Svazhyan. The main issue is that the commission, which was supposed to consist of seven members, had only five present during the certification. As a result, two members representing the Ministry of Education voted against Stephanian's candidacy, which means the principal did not participate in the certification. When we asked how we could see the results, we were told it was not possible. The parents have filed complaints and requested that the results be verified based on the recordings. Only after reviewing the recordings will it be clear; if the parents' complaints are accepted, the principal will continue in their position, and if not, any licensed specialist with a clear plan can apply for the position of principal of Pushkin School within 40 days.
Our main demand is to be present at this certification phase. The school parents are concerned and do not rule out the likelihood of a subjective and unfounded decision being made again,” said the parent.
