Numerous Criminal Proceedings Related to National Betrayal Cases, Says Poghosyan
There are numerous criminal proceedings connected to the aftermath of the 44-day war, including charges of negligence, abuse of official authority, breach of duty, desertion, failure to execute orders, and various other offenses, stated Arthur Poghosyan, the chairman of the Investigation Committee, in the National Assembly.
"We have divided the proceedings into several directions, starting from high-ranking officials who led the main operations, down to soldiers. We have assessed each individual’s actions in terms of consequences," he noted.
According to Poghosyan, there are many criminal proceedings related to cases of national betrayal. "We need to evaluate how much national betrayal has affected the outcomes in specific directions. In the near future, when we have legal judgments in force, we will also have the opportunity to assess how much these individuals' actions influenced the war's outcome," the head of the Investigation Committee added.
