The newly elected Pope Leo XIV has addressed the faithful in a message. This was reported by Vatican News.

He stated, “The Pope always blesses the whole world. Now I want to have the opportunity to give you the same blessing because God loves you, God loves all of you. We are all beloved children of God. So let us be united and walk together. We are the disciples of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ walks before us, we follow him.

I am a son of Saint Augustine, an Augustinian, but together with you, I am a Christian. In this sense, we all must together move towards the true faith for which God has prepared us. May the blessings of Almighty God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—be upon you and always be with you.”
