Armenian Soldiers Will Not Go to Moscow

Armenian military personnel will not participate in the military parade scheduled for May 9 in Moscow's Red Square. "Troops from 13 countries will be present," said Yuri Ushakov, an assistant to the Russian president.

Among the participants will be soldiers from Azerbaijan, Belarus, and Central Asian countries, as well as representatives from Vietnam, Egypt, Mongolia, and China.

In response to a question about whether Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan will attend the Victory Parade, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated, "He has received an invitation and plans to come." She added, "However, this information needs to be confirmed by his press service."

Previously, the Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly did not rule out that the Prime Minister could decide last minute whether to attend or not: "It's possible he may fall ill with COVID... Many leaders from different countries have gotten sick, for example, the leader of India," noted the NA President.

So, will Pashinyan go to Moscow or not? In response to a question from “Azatutyun,” the Prime Minister's spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan conveyed yesterday that information regarding Pashinyan's visits will be provided in due time.
