President Donald Trump has announced that the first meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin is likely to take place in Saudi Arabia, although no official decision has been made yet. Trump stated, “I think we will most likely meet for the first time in Saudi Arabia,” following a phone call with Putin. This information was reported by CNN.

Trump noted that Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will play a role in the discussions. When asked about the date of the meeting, he mentioned that it is “not yet determined,” but it could happen “not too far in the future.”

“We will probably have the first meeting and then see what we can do for a second meeting,” he concluded.
