Greenland Does Not Wish to Become Part of the USA, Says Prime Minister
Greenland does not wish to become part of the United States but is ready to strengthen cooperation, said the island's Prime Minister Múte Egede in an interview with Fox News.
“We do not want to be Americans, we do not want to be part of the United States, but we want a strong collaboration with the United States,” he stated.
Egede added that Greenland will always remain a part of NATO. Furthermore, according to the official, Greenland has a lot to offer Washington and is therefore open to American investments in the resource extraction sector.
