Judge in Kocharyan Case Reveals Past Membership in Civil Contract Party
Today, anti-corruption court judge Sargis Petrosyan confirmed that in 2018, he was a member of the ruling "Civil Contract" party and was included in the party's electoral list.
Petrosyan initially stated that he has never concealed his membership in the party's list, and he even attended one of Nikol Pashinyan's campaign meetings. However, Vardevanyan persisted in questioning how he came to be in that situation. Ultimately, the judge refused to answer, stating that he had received an offer from the ruling political team to join and participate in the parliamentary elections. He accepted the offer but soon withdrew from it.
"Numerous statements have been made that there are serious filters for inclusion in the electoral lists. It is extremely important for the participants in the proceedings to understand how it was that you became a member of the 'My Step' alliance," Vardevanyan stated.
