The Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic has won the Olympic singles tennis tournament, capturing his first Olympic gold medal in his career.
In the final match, he proved stronger than the world's third-ranked player, 21-year-old Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, winning with a score of 7:6 (3), 7:6 (2).
The match lasted 2 hours and 52 minutes. At 37 years old, Djokovic is the oldest player in tennis history to win an Olympic singles event.
