Over 814 Million Dram Allocated for Road Construction in Gegharkunik
The Armenian government has allocated 814 million 575 thousand dram for road construction in the Gegharkunik region. The Department of Urban Development, Land Management and Infrastructure Management of the Gegharkunik Governor’s Office informs that a decision was made during the government meeting on August 6, 2026, to allocate 814 million 575.6 thousand dram from the state budget for the rehabilitation of a 9-kilometer section of the Sevan-Martuni-Vardenis interstate highway.
Additionally, 104 million 641 thousand dram has been allocated for the reconstruction of an 800-meter stretch leading from the central part of Tsapatagh community (named after H. Abrahamyan Secondary School) to the H7 republican road.
Through subvention programs, 4 million 711.7 thousand dram has been allocated for the renovation of the kindergarten building in the Arzvani neighborhood of Martuni community and for the acquisition of furniture. Furthermore, 323 million 415.2 thousand dram has been allocated for the paving works of streets in the communities of Martuni, Zolakar, Geghovit, Lichq, Tsakqar, Verin Getashen, and Vaghashen, covering a length of 7.8 kilometers.
