Two Red Cards, Four Goals: Noah Draws with Sion
The reigning vice-champion, cup winner, and super cup holder of Armenia, Noah, played to a draw against the Swiss team Sion in the first leg of the third qualifying round of the 2026/27 UEFA Europa Conference League.
The match took place on August 6 at the Vahagn Tumasyan Stadium in Abovyan and ended with a score of 2:2.
Five minutes into the match, Noah earned a penalty kick, which Helder Ferreira confidently converted. However, the visitors quickly equalized through a goal by Botelli. In the 20th minute, Gor Manvelyan once again put Noah ahead, but shortly after, Sion was reduced to 10 men after Hefti's dismissal.
In the second half, specifically in the 57th minute, the Swiss team restored balance with a goal from Shuareshi. Later on, the teams would once again be equal in numbers as Noah's player Mambo received a red card.
The return match will take place on August 13 in Switzerland.
