FIFA Scandal: UEFA Rejects Infantino's Apology and Maintains Boycott
UEFA has announced that it will continue to uphold the boycott of tournaments held under FIFA's auspices, rejecting the apology of FIFA President Gianni Infantino. According to the organization's statement, Infantino's decision to abandon the plan for selling commercial rights for the World Cup is insufficient to resolve the ongoing situation.
UEFA emphasized that FIFA has failed to meet its fundamental demands, including the lack of guarantees that similar initiatives will not occur in the future. At the same time, UEFA stated that it continues to distrust Gianni Infantino's leadership.
This situation may impact the Under-20 Women's World Cup, which is set to kick off next month. Specifically, the participation of European teams, including the England national team, is now in question.
